Document need to be ready -

For Application : Scan Copy of Student's Photo & Signature (Size Must be within 50 kb) & Mark Sheet(10+2 level) (Size Must be within 500 kb)

For Admission : Scan Copy of Student's Admit card(10th level), Mark Sheet(10+2 level), Aadhaar card, Caste certificate (if applicable), BPL certificate (if applicable), Disability certificate (if applicable), Certificate for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) (if applicable)

All Phone no & Email-id must be valid for Admission Process. All Receipt information Merit List , Roll No will be provided through Phone No & Email.

GO No.354-Edn (CS)/10M-95/14 dated 2nd June 2023 এই সরকারী নির্দেশ অনুসারে সকল B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com (Major) 4-year UG Program মাধ্যমে অনলাইনে আবেদনকারীকে জানানো হচ্ছে যে ভর্তি সংক্রান্ত আবেদনের সময় ভূল তথ্য দিয়ে আবেদন করলে এবং পরবর্তী সময়ে ভর্তি সংক্রান্ত কোনো তথ্য ভূল হিসাবে প্রমানিত হলে তার ভর্তি তৎক্ষণাৎ বাতিল বলে গণ্য হবে ।

A. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Admissions are made strictly on the basis of merit.

Applicants are to strictly follow all the notifications regarding admission published in the college web-site. Changes in terms and conditions may be notified as and when required.

Candidates who passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with minimum four approved subjects (each of 100 as Full Marks and prescribed pass marks) only are allowed to apply for admission, provided ‘Course-wise Eligibility Criteria for Application’ are fulfilled.

All candidates must have passed in English of 100 marks at 10 + 2 level.

Business Mathematics will not be taken into considered in lieu of Mathematics at (10 + 2) level.

Aggregate is taken as total marks of BEST FOUR SUBJECTS excluding ENVS IN 10+2 level.

Separate application form has to be submitted for each course/option.

Only On-Line Application forms will be considered for admission.

Certain seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and EWS applicants in each course, as per Government rules.

5 % of seats in each category are reserved for physically challenged candidates.

Candidates passing from Open School or from any Council/Board/Institution that Government of West Bengal or Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University does not recognize are not allowed to submit on-line application. In such case applicant will remain personally liable.

All the admission will be provisional subject to the fulfillment of University Registration criteria.

All the payments regarding admission will have to be submitted through PAYMENT GATEWAY provided in the ONLINE ADMISSION PORTAL. No other mode of payment will be taken into account. Online Transaction charges (exclusively fixed by the Payment Gateway authority) will have to be paid in addition to the fees payable to the college.

While preparing merit list, in case of same index number the priority will be selected first by comparing English Marks in H.S. Examination and then on the basis of seniority by virtue of Date of Birth.

Candidates are requested to keep in mind the restricted number of intakes for different subjects/courses and it is advisable to apply for alternative courses/combinations separately in order to increase the probability of getting admission.

The college does not accept any responsibility for cancellation of admission due to suppression or misstatement of facts by students during the course of entire admission process.

In no case whatsoever it may be, the amount once paid in respect of admission in the College will be refunded. So think judiciously before any payment.

B. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Read carefully all the admission related information provided in the admission web-portal and also follow college website for notices published from time to time.

Separate On-Line Application Form is to be submitted for each course/option.

Candidature of an applicant will outright be cancelled (at any stage) if the data given in the On-Line Application Form are found false.

Application Fees is waived off by Govt. Order.

All relevant important dates will be published from time to in our College web portal and College Admission Portal.

IMPORTANT: Newly admitted student has to report to the College from the day of commencement of 1st Semester class for the session 2023-2024.

No one has to report or submit any paper to the College before Admission.But any wrong and misinformation will lead to outright cancellation of admission without any refund of fees already deposited.

Date of publication of Merit List and admission will be notified in the Web-Portals of the College.

Admission of students will be strictly as per merit list, the listed candidate will have to deposit required fees through online payment gateway only to complete their admission.

All the fields in the on-line application are to be filled with correct data cautiously because the scope of correction of data(except elective subject combinations, marks, Board of Last Examination and Caste) will be allowed within the time frame notified.

Under no circumstance the fees once deposited will be refunded, so fill the forms cautiously after reading all the instructions carefully.

C. PROCEDURE OF ONLINE APPLICATION

STRICTLY FOLLOW THE STEPS MENTIONED BELOW:

Read the admission related notices in the College Web-site.

Click on the On-Line Application link.

Submit the application form after providing all information as asked for. Regarding choice subjects under new CBCS system follow SUBJECT SELECTION OPTIONS given below.

Preserve the counter foil/receipt for submission in the college for Admission Approval later.

Wait for the publication of merit list.

Candidate, if enlisted in the merit list has to take admission through the College Admission Portal and may require to changing the options of selecting general combination papers, because of intake restrictions.

Get a printed copy of the Acknowledgement from College Admission Portal.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (MAJOR)

General Criteria

1. The student must have passed in the 10+2 level examination in the years 2023, 2022, 2021

 

Subject-specific Criteria

1. A student who has studied Science Stream subjects (Mathematics and any two from Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, Statistics, and Computer Science or Modern Computer Application) in 10+2 level can select any subject as Major. However, the following conditions apply for selection of the following subjects –
   1. Computer Science (Major) – Must have passed in Mathematics in 10+2 level
   2. Mathematics (Major) – Must have passed in Mathematics in 10+2 level
   3. Physics (Major) – Must have passed in Physics in 10+2 level
   4. Chemistry (Major) – Must have passed in Chemistry in 10+2 level
2. A student who wants to take Commerce as Major subject must have studied Science Stream subjects or must have studied Accountancy in the 10+2 level.
3. A student who has not studied Science Stream subjects nor Accountancy in the 10+2 level can opt for only the following subjects as Major:
   1. Bengali
   2. Economics
   3. English
   4. Geography
   5. History
   6. Political Science
   7. Santali
   8. Education
   9. Sociology
   10. Physical Education
4. Students from Vocational streams can take a subject as Major only from the list provided in point 3 above.
5. Differently-Abled students cannot take Physical Education as a Major subject.

 

SUBJECT SELECTION RULE (OTHER THAN MAJOR)

1. The Minor Subject must not be the Major Subject.
2. The Multi-disciplinary subject must not have been one of the subjects studied in 10+2 level.
3. Any one from the offered SEC subjects can be selected irrespective of the subjects chosen as major and minor, however the same subject will not be available to the student as SEC subject during the semesters II and III

 

MERIT LIST INDEX CALCULATION CRITERIA

• Aggregate of Best Five marks+subject/related subject marks in H.S (10+2) will be considered. While preparing merit list, in case of same index number the priority will be selected first by comparing related Subject Marks in H.S. Exam. and then on the basis of English mark and then seniority by virtue of Date of Birth
